Karen Golightly
Speech Language Pathologist
I have a passion for both Health care and traveling. I started out as a Registered Nurse. I went to Saudi Arabia about 2 years after I graduated and had my first experience in a multicultural and Middle Eastern environment. It was a great learning opportunity. I returned to Canada after 5 years and completed my Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology. Following this, I continued my adventures in the Middle East and traveling. I have been working as a Speech Pathologist or Speech Therapist for about 25 years. I love teaching and sharing knowledge. I have had the pleasure of being a Clinical Practice Instructor for both Bachelor and post Graduate Speech Pathology students and I am a certified Group Fitness instructor and enjoy exercise (most of the time). I have been working most recently as a Speech Pathologist in Acute care of Pediatrics in Feeding and Swallowing. It is a lot of fun working with children and I hope to continue my Speech Pathology practice with children in the years to come.
