Dr. Saad Yaaqeib
Associate Professor of Psychology
Dr. Saad Yaaqeib is an Associate Professor of Psychology at Zayed University (Abu Dhabi, UAE.). Dr. Yaaqeib earned his doctoral degree in Educational and Counseling Psychology from the University of Missouri-Columbia, with a focus on educational measurement and multivariate analysis. He earned a Graduate Certificate in Educational Policy, which revolved around developing, implementing, and evaluating educational and social programs. As well as formulating or evaluating policies for strategic projects. The statistical skills include working with large data bases especially student assessments like PISA and TIMSS, working with statistical programs (Stata and HLM7), and expertise in hierarchical linear modeling, missing data analysis, interaction analysis, handling big databases and factor analysis. Dr. Yaaqeib’s research publications revolve around motivational frameworks in academic achievement; the development of psychological scales; and wellbeing and social indicators tailored towards the UAE’s population. Currently he is serving as a consultant on educational assessment projects in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, he is a member of the Higher Colleges of Technology Industry Advisory board, and he is a visiting counseling psychologist at a medical government establishment.
